Spring sailing weather is pleasant, because the sea water is still cool in spring and the air is fresh. From the boat, you can watch how the tiny picturesque villages wake up to the summer season and the beach restaurants open their doors, usually around Easter. In spring, before the scorching midsummer sun, nature's greenery bursts into flower. Olive trees, vineyards and sheep roaming wild in nature offer interesting things to look at. The coral reefs and underwater caves of the Adriatic Sea are home to a wonderful variety of seafood – for snorkelers to admire.
The coastal slope wind Bura blows cold air down the mountain slopes from the northeast. The wind turns in the direction of the coast, and its power should not be underestimated. However, many of the Adriatic winds are good friends of the skipper, such as the gentle Mistral wind blowing from the northwest. It cools the scorched summer coast, but only rarely does it raise big waves. The Jugo wind blows warm and moist air from Africa to the southern coast of Dalmatia, where the winds blow lighter in summer and stronger in autumn.
