It is worth climbing the old city wall to admire the city lined with red brick roofs. However, you can get a unique perspective on the city from the sea. Sail in front of the city almost under the old city walls. The view from the sea is unprecedented, as the massive wall rises from the crystal clear sea.
From Dubrovnik, you should head for an adventure to the island of Lopud. The island is crossed by paved paths and you can explore the island easily on foot. Light beaches border the sea that shimmers in bright blue and green tones, green fairy-tale forests and olive groves on the slopes. Lopoud's absolute attraction is Sunji beach. However, there is no use for a sailboat in the shallow lagoon. Launch a rubber boat here, because a swim in the warm beach water is worth a dip.
One of the most interesting destinations in the Dubrovnik area is the Koločep Island Caves. There are three amazing caves hidden in the rock of the island. They have been created over the course of millions of years by the constant waves of the sea pushing through the island. Drop the anchor, winch the dinghy into the water and jump in for a swim in the magical caves.
Dubrovnik's secrets may not be secrets anymore, but words will never be enough to describe them – you have to experience them yourself!
